    • We are a general dental family practice, established in Pretoria in 1952 by Dr Phillip Immelman. We pride ourselves on professional, first world service with attention to detail and a high regard for the complete satisfaction of our patients. The latest equipment, techniques and materials are used to achieve this.

      The dedicated and highly competent dental team has more than 30 years experience.

      As an accredited provider of dental services to local embassies, the treatment of Diplomatic Corps members and patients from abroad is our speciality and has been our privilege since 1985.

Preventative Dentistry

  • Oral hygiene education and instruction are important from an early age. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the oral hygienist for a gentle introduction to dentistry by way of cleaning, sealing and fluoride treatment. This is an effective way to familiarise children with the dental environment.
  • All patients are placed on a six monthly recall alert via SMS.

Oral Hygiene

Implants

  • Surgical and prosthetic phases of implant dentistry. This technique of lost tooth replacement is at the forefront of modern innovation and technology. It is an in-chair, minimally invasive, effective and safe method of tooth replacement with a low 5% failure rate.
  • Procedure: After removal of the lost tooth, a three month healing period is required for the body to form new bone in the extraction site. If sufficient reconstituted bone is present after three months, a small specialised screw (8 to 13mm long) is placed in the bone where the tooth was removed. An additional three month integration period is then required where osseo-integration takes place (the bone cells attach themselves to the implant) before the new implant supported crown is fitted onto the implant. Minimum total treatment time is approximately six months.

Cosmetic Dentistry

  • Smile design based on a non-traumatic occlusion, healthy Temporomandibular Joints (TMJ) and aesthetic balance are the cornerstones of cosmetic dentistry. All the latest whitening, veneering and crowning techniques are used to enhance your confidence.
  • In-chair tooth whitening, using the Zoom whitening system, or at-home treatment options are available. Both treatment modalities are used extensively by our highly experienced oral hygienists.

Periodontal Treatment

  • Periodontal disease, if present, is diagnosed during the initial examination.
    In mild cases, the treatment entails deep scaling and periodontal curettage under local anaesthetic, followed by a strict oral hygiene programme.
  • In severe cases, patients are referred to our excellent periodontal specialists for treatment.

Orthodontic Treatment

  • Preventative and interceptive orthodontics are managed in cooperation with our associated Orthodontists, while more complex cases are referred for specialised treatment.

Maxillo-facial Surgery

  • General oral surgery, eg removal of teeth, draining of abscesses, frenectomies, etc, are performed in the practice.
  • Major trauma and extreme surgery cases are referred to our proven maxillo-facial surgeons for specialised treatment. Short notice appointments are available in cases of emergency.
